About the process

Protection and finish for metal surfaces

A protective coating contributes to the surface appearance and protection during use. The coating system is selected according to the substrate, part condition and exposure conditions.

Preparation must account for existing coatings, corrosion or contamination. Threads and surfaces that must remain uncoated need to be clearly identified. Colour, finish and masking requirements are agreed before processing.

Frequently asked questions

Should I identify areas that must remain uncoated?

Yes. Mark threads, mating and contact surfaces, and any areas critical to assembly or function. We review masking requirements and practical options during the assessment.

Is the same coating suitable for indoor and outdoor use?

Requirements differ with exposure, moisture and intended use. Describe the service conditions so we can review the available coating system and surface preparation for your part.
